And if it was a choice between being given £500 to buy a car and being given a new Corsa (worth £7000 ... or whatever they cost) you'd take the Corsa, sell it, and buy something decent instead.

I think what Fox meant is that at every price point from new, down to £500, he would rather own any other car than a Corsa. If he had £500, he wouldn't buy a Corsa, if he had £2000, he wouldn't buy a Corsa etc.

well from my perspective I've driven some lovely cars and I've driven some toilet cars, I'd like to think along the way my posting style has remained reasonably standard. Driving a ferrari shouldn't automatically give you a god complex, if it does then most posters here would quickly shun you in favour of people with realistic input.

I don't think there have been any changes with the cars I've owned, if anything it's enabled me to offer more informed opinions and to share a more unique knowledge.
