Does what you drive change your posting style...

What if you drive a horse?

Huh?

My posting style remains pretty much the same regardless of what I drive. Although I'm less likely to post an opinion where recent experience of a particular class of car is relevant. Although I've never, deliberately, tried to make someone feel #### about their car or what they paid for it.
Maybe a persons car makes their "reading between the lines" responses more, or less, likely to read positives or negatives?

There's definitely a few that seem to have perfected the skill of "misreading between the lines" to the point that there seem to be paragraphs of between the line text that only they can see which justifies a nasty post.

Apologies for lousy grammar and/or punctuation, I drive a car I don't care about ;)

Should we listen to a babbling moron such as yourself instead?

Ofcourse it changes your posting style - I now hog the outside lane of threads, aggresively moving in and out of posts as I see fit. With no indication of direction whatsoever.

I also now own these forums, begone infidels!

I would hope that what I drive has no influence on my posting style.

I doubt it was that different back in the day when I had my e38 7 Series to when I was running around in its replacement - A diesel Mondeo.

I´d imagine my work steed has some input, I know I´m constantly harping on about trucks, that said, I doubt it would make any difference if I drove a Scania, Mercedes, Volvo or DAF.....

Sure I like Scanias, but don´t feel that makes me some sort of "fanboy"

If I was to swap my Scania R420 for a Volvo F12 tomorrow, I´d hardly be crying about it for example, sure I prefer Scanias, but would be quite happy in a Volvo or anything else for that matter. A decent stereo, working Aircon & a decent night heater are far higher up the list of concerns than the brand on the front of the thing tbh.

I currently have a 328i e36 and have , in the past, commented on it and indeed recommended it to others, sure thats based on what i drive, then again, it would be a bit daft to pass judgement on something that I don´t own nor have any experience of.

Not sure if I answer the OP´s question or not tbh.

Get back to drinking man, you're on holiday :)

I have a sneaking suspicion that some people take these forums a tad too seriously. No naming names (because I don't remember any!), but you are sort of sense it through some people's posts.

I was previously guilty of it too. Before insults (especially about my car) would get my back up. I would have (and I'm sure I have) had a full blown argument over it. I step a step back down and laugh. I think more people should try it :).

As far your attitude changing as per your car? I doubt it. I made quite a change from stripped out french hot hatch to Jap barge and I've been just as opinionated as ever :).
