Does wine have milk and egg in it?

What the......

I can't eat dairy, surely the majority of wines DON'T have milk in them?

My bet is that if you have been drinking wine all this time and still alive, chances are you've had loads with milk or egg as fining agents and just because you found out this now doesn't mean it will kill you tomorrow.

But i am not a doctor, so i would ask you GP first.

Why is it, every time I mention I have a dairy allergy, I have someone shove the idea down my throat that I'm making it up?

It has been diagnosed. I very very rarely drink wine so wouldn't be worried. It's just surprising to find out they put milk in some wines.

Because there's only a tiny tiny tiny amount, if any at all, left in it after it has been fined. You'd have to be very severely allergic to be affected by it.

I wonder if some of my Veggie friends no it sometimes contains egg white.. ha!
I would have thought so, it's fairly common knowledge amongst vegetarians that many wines aren't vegetarian. The same goes for cheese (though I think most people know about that now don't they?), the only people who I know that don't know about these things are non vegetarians/vegans.

I had to read that three times before I realised that "no" was supposed to be "know".

When i read "no" instead of "know" i often wonder if people are plain lazy or seriously don't know the difference between the two. Either way, is it that hard to type two more letters? It's not like you are trying to save credit on a phone. If they don't know the difference then god help this country lol
