Doing Pressups ?

It's not just chest and triceps. It's actually a pretty good core stability exercise, as you're holding yourself in the plank position for an extended period.
 
Doing 100 is more focused on endurance, it won't build lots of muscle because the weight is too low and reps too high. My chest isn't built for endurance but I can bench press 130kg while weighing 75kg. I tried doing as many press-ups as I could in 1 go and got to about 80 on the first attempt.

Would you say doing 100+ pressups every day could be more harmful then good ?

Not really, though if you dont stretch your pecs out they may adaptively shorten causing slight postural changes (e.g rounded shoulders)
