DemocRats accusing Trump of failing, he blocked travel from China months ago and they called him racist for it, he was holding emergency meetings while they were busy with their kangaroo impeachment in the DemocRat controlled House, then Pelosi started doing tours of China town telling everyone it was nothing to worry about. So not only did Trump react relatively early but unlike the DemocRats his judgement was correct in that it clearly was something to worry about.

The president continued to visit his golf resorts and hold rallies into March, and hosted a party at his Mar-a-Lago resort in mid-March attended by multiple Brazilian officials who later tested positive for coronavirus.

The first confirmed case in the US was on January 21 and he had time to play golf, hold parties and host 6 rallies whilst dealing with the crisis. So much for going down to almost 0 cases....

I just don't understand how anybody can defend Trump when you can look back at videos from a couple of weeks ago where he was claiming this was all a Democrat hoax, it literally "BOGGLES MY MIND", I presume even though there are videos those are "Deep Fakes" by fake news outlets?

I guess Pelosi was doing the "rounds" in China town because people were staying away from Chinese restaurants which obviously made no sense at all.

Unfortunately there is now way that Trump is going to be able to spin the body count coming for the USA.

To begin with Trump said it was 1 person from China and downplayed everything was fine and also boasted thanks to his early actions he saved millions. Remember it was the same as the flu which was more dangerous?! Based on his hunches and feelings he knew what was best over the experts and science. He changed his tune today and surprise surprise the figures isnt 1 person but 1000s as finally i think he grasping just how serious the gravity of the situation. Then the other excuses came out we inherited a broken system, it was hidden for 3 months (which would have been September) which is not true. He comes out literally with nothing constructive or factual which is baffling how anyone can take him seriously. He is using these Pandemic briefing sessions as a public display of self congratulation and a platform to stroke his ego. Not today when reality comes crashing down.

Gone up yes, as commentators predicted it would. He's still below 50 (average) and more people still disapprove than approve (average).

George W Bush saw his ratings go through the roof after the 9/11 attacks. His father, George HW Bush, hit 90%+ approval after the first Gulf war and held a parade to celebrate. By these measures, Trump should actually be doing much better in the polls. In fact, when asked whether the country is headed in the right direction under Trump, Americans say no by 55-38%.

Such comparisons suggest the “Trump bump” phenomenon should be handled with care – and a lot of hand sanitizer.

Doesn't need to. You see he is playing 4D chess. His plan was to manufacture this virus, release it in China (so they can take the blame) and then let it spread like wildfire through the states. Important people like him will have access to the vaccine so they get a mild dose. Meanwhile, shortly Mexico will be throwing billions at Trump and begging him to build the wall or they might even build it themselves.

I’m learning from the Trump playbook, nothing is off limits, not sure what you mean by the “new low for even you” quote is all about can you elucidate?

You very thin skinned when it comes to my post but seem to take any amount of BS from Trump, your feigned “shock” is pretty lame.

I’m not the one who will end up costing 100,000 lives due to a lack of a grip on the reality of the situation. How can you defend Trump when he’s gone from “democrat hoax” to “painful two weeks” (240,000 dead) in a couple of weeks, I’d really like to understand the logic.
