I am not against the work the NSPCC do, I am against funding an entity that does part of the job the government already takes my money to do. If NSPCC are better than the government at doing it then the government should let them run the whole show...
Posting the amount donated is probably the most retarded thing I've ever heard. What does it matter the amount you donate?
If you feel the need to disclose the amount you donate then you have to question whether it is infact a selfless act. Whether you really do wish to help or just put your friends/colleague/stranges in awe by telling them of your generoisty and how much money you can afford to give away.

If you divided up all your tax money per month by how many services there are and what tax payers money contributes to, it is under £2 per month towards child services.
Especially since other services take priority.

Well, perhaps we should stop wasting money within NHS, MOD and on benefits then.
Still pay NI, still pay VAT, still pay road tax, still pay fuel duty, still pay insurance tax, still pay airline flight tax, still pay alcohol duty, tobacco duty, being allowed to be breathe duty, and so on.
Equally I graduate this summer, so once in a job I'll pay the full whack of the overpriced income tax

He almost certainly pays some form of tax, even if he is a student, ie: VAT on goods.

It does annoy me how downright aggressive some charities are (eg: Barnardo's) and seeing the salaries some of their directors get makes me cringe a bit. I'm wondering whether I should switch my RSPCA donation somewhere else as I've read a few things I didn't like over the past year.
So the tax can be divided differently, hell I WANT it to be divided differently...

Your tax / no. of services = sum of money towards each taxable service. I'm hoping it's less than £2 per month so I don't look like a fool.
