Dont know which P67 board to go for.

And who can complain about the £23 rebate? :)
I think it is a relatively shady business practice. If you're going to offer a discount across all UK retailers, then why not just drop the RRP of the board instead of making consumers jump through hoops? If this goes badly, then MSI can expect a backlash.

Read the T&Cs very carefully is my advice, especially:

4.4) MSI reserve the right to interpret the rules of this promotion at its sole discretion and all decisions made by MSI are final

What the hell kind of language is that!? Read everything carefully (link to application form)...

Here's the MSI site for the promotion.

Well I would have gone for the MSI board regardless of the offer. Have loved my current one and have always come across some problems with the ASUS boards I have had before.

I know what you mean it is difficult especially as the boards are very new.

The ASUS board seems to perform slightly better in benchmarks but it really is only a whisker better. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/p67-motherboard-roundup-lga-1155-sandy-bridge,2837.html they have tested the pro edition of the Asus P8P67.

What has caught my eye with the MSI is that dave_beast is using 4x2GB RAM modules on the MSI P67A-GD55, a version down on the GD65 and it hasn't had any impact on performance or affected his overclock. I would be looking to run in this configuration in the near future.

Memory controller is on the CPU, so the motherboard shouldn't have that much of an influence...

My P67A-GD65 is arriving tomorrow, but I don't yet have RAM and am waiting for the 2500K to drop under £175 before moving on it. I will of course be sending in all the rebate forms & info as quick as I can!

My GD65 and 2500K arrived today. Paired it with my old Corsair Dominator ram even though thats rated at 1.65V (changed in bios to 1.6) and I have to say the motherboard has been faultless so far. I've read so many people having issue with Asus boards yer my MSI has done everything I've asked of it flawlessly.

Reserving benching for tomorrow when my replacement GeIL RAM (due to lower stated voltage) arrives :)

^^ Nice. I rang up ocuk earlier in the day and ordered the 2500k, Geil Values, but Asus P8P67. Was about to get the GD55, but I bailed out for an Asus due to majority here interested in the Asus board, therefore oc'ers will be able to provide support should I come across problems.
Anyways, give us all a verdict on the geils please, and whether they are stable in overclocking, should you decide to o. them. cheers.
