Don't like the X6? Maybe its offspring might change your mind...

What the hell are you talking about? Is JLR not an established manufacturer then? I would have thought 1922 (five years after BMW) would put them in the "established" camp.

And if you think that x4 is better than a JLR Evoque then you need your eyes testing.

You've misinterpreted what I said. JLR is coming out with great cars, everyone is in agreement that they are and how it's a breath of fresh air to their range. This highlights that they were coming out with rubbish under the old management and under new management they now aren't.

Other manufacturers gained market share during this period and with that came the ability to have more product lines which has helped them sell more cars that appeal more to specific continents. For example the X5M/X6M sells very well in the US and Middle East, but the M5 sells better here (and in the US). The A4L and 3 series LWB are selling well in China as that's what the market wants, JLR haven't had anything to compete even in Europe for this class this time round as they're concentrating on other things.

Urgh.

Coming to a school run near you soon....

Indeed. I thought this was all a bit of an over exaggerated myth but the woman across the road bought a brand new Evoque. The only time it moves(like her previous Range Rover) is around quarter to 9 and quarter past 3 to pick her kid up from a school that's less than a mile away.

There is a market :p

maybe im wrong but bmw seem to invent a potential market and then they design a car for that market and then spew out a load of stuff about how the car will indirectly give you a 10"

i like bmws but not the monstrosity suvs/crossovers/stupid cars
