Hello

After looking at family cars I think we will probably be getting a secondhand Nissan QashQai as aworkhorse for a couple of years.

To keep costs down I won't be getting one with the Nissan Connect system which has the Satnav and phone stuff, they seems to be like hens teeth anyway.

What I would like to do is change the existing double DIN 6 disc changer for a satnav unit which will talk to my iPhone, give me hands free and interface with the stearing wheel controls. It will also need to do amp duties and have a radio.

My budget is about £600 does anyone have any suggestion or even better some experience of such things?

Many thanks

Thank you, thats the sort of thing I'm looking for :)

Anyone else have one of these sorts of things?

Thanks

I've had several Pioneer satnavs over the years, all have been bulletproof, they offer first class navigation and usability, sound quality is top notch, well worth using the iPod integration too.

iPhone integration is essential both music and phone functions, whatever unit I get this needs to be as seamless as possible as I never use CDs anymore :)

In fact I'd be willing to forego having a CD player all together but I think only Sony are doing this at the moment and probably not in the double DIN units.

Just installed an Avic F900BT into my mates Alfa Brera, the quality is "ok", but compared to the earlier Avic units, it just feels a little cheap, and the interface is a little watered down.

Not sure it is worth the pricetag.

Also beware that iPod integration is not standard for the F900BT, you need to buy an optional £40 cable.
