Doubts about Ricky Hattons comeback

Surprised he was signed to fight Senchenko to be honest, a guy who's only lost once, admittedly to Malignaggi, but still, surely they could have picked someone of lower calibre to start with.

Sadly was proved right :( his comeback wasn't for the right reasons, his life fell apart without boxing so he came back basically for something to keep him occupied rather than facing the issue at hand I.e. what's he gonna do with his life without fighting.

His age shouldn't have been problem 34 isn't much of an age for a boxer but the abuse his body has taken during and after his career has undoubtedly shortened his shelf life.

It's all a bit Gazza really he's just the same and couldn't deal with not having football to keep his mind busy.

It seems he has also fallen out with his mum and dad who I remember were always with him during his career. His dad got arrested the day he announced his comeback I seem to remember for getting into a fight with Ricky I'd imagine he was trying to stop him coming back....hope they can reconcile and help Ricky now as I fear he's going to need good people with him.

Same old Hatton, decent pressure and work rate but very wild punches with no chance of landing (that bit where he fell over throwing a lead hook was just embarassing) and absolutely zero defence... He took a lot of solid shots in that fight, it is a good job his opponent wasnt more heavy handed.
