Story breaking on Sky Sports News.

Statement on Tuesday apparently.

Wonder whats gone on there? Bit early to be pushing the panic button.

Did he leave or was he sacked?

Edit: BBC say "The former Crystal Palace boss did lead Charlton to the Carling Cup quarter-final last week but it was not enough to save his job"

I'm a bit surprised to see him go so early but he had a hard act to follow in Curbishley. I think he punched way above his weight and did extremely well with very few decent players. I think the position they find themselves in now is only a few places lower than they could've realistically expected with their squad.

It's funny how a manager can change the fortunes of a club. You only need to look at how well Villa are doing with a very similar team to that of last year to know how good O'Neill is. The same can be said about Curbishley leaving Charlton although he'll have to prove himself at a bigger club to gain the respect he deserves.

HAHA

Well he lasted a long time!

Straight swap maybe
Taylor> Charlton
Dowie> Back to ****hurst!
I think Palace would take that deal in an instant if it were ever offered, given their current state. ;)

They wont they will just keep going on about it and ring up ex players and ask for there opinion, you do not need a 24 hour sports channel,.
