I mistakenly installed Office 2007 last week and I absolutely loathe it, Outlook seems to randomly take up 100% of the CPU usage and I'm getting random error messages in Word and Excel, I'm planning to downgrade back to Office 2003 but I have around 2000+ emails in Outlook which I can't afford to lose as they're for work, I've tried backing up the PST file, uninstalling Office 2007, reinstalling 2003 and importing it but predictably it tells me the PST is for a different version and won't import. Anyone have any ideas?

Can't you just drag the folders/emails into a folder on your pc ?

Do you think that'd work? (I've had to reinstall Office 2007 to get to my emails now and don't want to start uninstalling/reinstalling if it doesn't)

when setting up a pst file set it for outlook 2003, should give you two options for pst file when you to try and add one. i had the same problem with my pst file when i went back to office 2003

dragging and dropping has always worked in outlook/outlook express tbh!

Safest way, just export all your information to a PST file, then re-import it when you have 2003 back up and running.
