And SOAD in 05, considering they were making a big thing about no rebookings for headliners this year, bit of a poor show. Will be annoyed if the final headliners a let down, I won't rule out going, but will mean I need to see a lot more of the lineup before deciding, because at present I only want to see Rob Zombie and I'm seeing him in feb already. Seen the other 3 several times and failed to be impressed.
 
After the **** lineup of last years download so far im excited for this, all decent bands so far announced.

I want them to get Rammstein, Stratovarius and InMe in the lineup and itll make me happy, im definetly going just on SOAD themselfs so any other bands i enjoy being added is a bonus.
 
I'd usually have booked tickets for one or the other based on the headliners so far, but bloody hell the two festivals this year are looking pretty poor so far. If Soni announce the Big 4 then that becomes a no brainer, but based on current info I might no go to either and just stick to the Foo Fighters @ MK.
 
Will likely be going to this, but waiting till next year to get ticket, will also likely be going to Leed's as well, can't be chewed with Sonisphere unless something mindblowing comes up.
 
Im torn between download and Sonisphere, I love system and Rob zombie, And slipknot. But dont really like linkin park avenged sevenfold or Biffy clyro.

I think im leaning towards sonisphere at the moment as i love slipknot, but ill wait for the other headliners first.

I agree though that Biffy Clyro are not really headlining material,
It really does depend on the othe bands announced now :)
 
Thought I would bump this, with the recent news that 14 bands are to be announced on Monday Night.

Any ideas on who?
I have heard a few rumours of Skindred and Audioslave

Audioslave split nearly 4 years ago so would be surprised to see them. Alterbridge are in Europe around the same time for Rock AM Ring and Buckcherry have self confirmed. The Cult are also meant to be there are well having self confirmed.

Still line up isn't a patch on Sonisphere

It might not be Audioslave, but there is a band I remember reading on Metal Hammer website about 2 weeks ago, who was supposed to be re-forming (but no official announcement).... I thought it was them though :confused:

EDIT: Infact it was Velvet Revolver now I think of it! Where did I get Audioslave from :( ( http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/velvet-revolver-to-reveal-singer-this-week/ )

Edit2: Reading around some more, looks like Slash is finishing his tour first (Summer 2011) :(
