Downloading Games from Steam

I just bought Gta Iv for pc off steam. However, everytime I try to download it, all it says is "download starting..." and just stays at that. I've tried deleting the content and then trying installing it. Still no luck. I'm guessing its the steam servers? Too busy or just getting hammered.

Any help?

Servers are too busy at the moment though you can also right click it then select pause updating then resume updating or something like that and it should work again otherwise must be the previous issue above.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah i've tried doing that mate and still doesn't want to work lol. Must be just servers too busy. Wil ltry again tonight before I go to bed. Thanks.

Try changing the download region too, I was downloading Men of War a few moments ago on UK at 30k/s, changed it to Norway and I am now getting 2mb/s

When my games do that, I just double click on the game in the menu to get the thing up that says it's launching and it usually starts to download then, not sure why sometimes it needs prompting but try getting up the lauch game window.
