DPD, err...

DHL are worse... Booked a collection for the 1st... Its the 8th and they still not come.

Supposedly the Tons of snow here is stopping them.

It melted 4 days ago, the roads have been clear and the paths bone dry for 3 days.

Did you book with DHL@home? Cause I find that they really are awful, but they aren't actually DHL, rather its some kind of weird franchise thing where people part time courier in their own cars

TNT where meant to collect a parcel from me this morning and it never happened :( guy on ebays gunna be maaad
All of TNT's collection and delivery service guarantees are currently suspended across the UK and Ireland, and have been since the adverse weather conditions started.
Whoever booked this for you (either at TNT, or whichever shipping agent you used to arrange the job) should have advised you of this.

TNT do not generally do morning collections, they are normally done in the afternoon.

i also booked a collection for a parcel via parcel to go (first time using them) with dhl at home thingy.

booked friday for collection monday and guess what !.....the parcel is still sitting here.

sent parcel to go a mail and got a generated mail back within 2 mins stating the weather is bad and collections will be delayed.

i live in Ipswich (no snow for a week now) and the parcel is going to London ?(no snow again) and dhl have a depot 10 min away from me and have actually deliver a parcel to my next door neighbour yesterday !.

i think these courier company's are hanging this "bad weather" excuse a bit to thin now.

lucky the person who's parcel it is is very understanding and i have updated him everyday and he seem's ok for now.

Going to give them a call on my break, bit fed up with this tbh. It's not as if there is any snow or ice in sidcup, and there hasn't been all week, so not really up for believing that the weather is too bad for deliveries.

Thanks a lot guys, will keep you posted.

My order which was meant to be delivered on Tuesday, has been sat in DPD's Nottingham depot for over 24h now and still hasn't been dispatched for delivery.:@

Yeah, DPD are not doing great all over at the moment. Ordered a next day with them on the 1st and it only arrived yesterday. Granted they did try and deliver it on the 6th but I wasn't in and when I re-arranged it for the 7th it just sat there all day with "Your parcel delivery has been re-arranged for 7th December" and never came. Eventually turned up yesterday.

My experiences with DPD range from amazing to I want to murder the driver.

Last year in the snow, the driver 3 days in a row was supposed to deliver the TV I'd ordered. I wouldn't have minded as much if he'd not been able to get to me, but what made me furious was on 3 separate days I was told he'd carded me (which he'd not). Furthermore, the woman on the phone I'd spoken to couldn't get through to him at all.

I eventually collected the TV myself from their depot (I didn't know where it was at the time) and found out it was literally 15 minutes in the snow away from my house. And, to top it off to get there, you must take the road I lived on!:mad::mad::mad:

I've had a few other similar experiences with them too, but other times, it arrives promptly at like 10AM the day it's supposed to.

All sorted now, the package was delivered today :) and left with a girl in the flat downstairs, a good mate of mine.

Cheers OCUK for your brilliant customer service this morning ;)

Quick update.

Not really very happy with DPD, as they manged somehow to only deliver half my parcel. It's a lovely headset and all, but I would like my new monitor as well

Funny thing is, on the receipt I got in the packaging (obviously several sizes too small to fit a monitor  ) it still says both items :) made me smile at the inadequacy of DPD :D
