Bit of a boring thread but I am on a high.
Being a muso for the last 39 years you now & then let your imagination run free and imagine that a famous band have called you up to join them and that NEARLY happened on tuesday & wednesday.
A top ACDC tribute act have decided to rehearse a new set based on ACDCs last tour but since they live all over the country they stuck a pin in a map and decided on Stoke to rehearse.
They have played here before and contacted the bloke who did the PA for them to arrange 3 days practise with full PA and stage show which they will bring.
At 10:30 tuesday morning I got a call from the PA guy asking if I could help him out because the singer was stuck in Poole (not me).
I turned up at 1pm knowing I would miss my beloved Stoke City on TV but what an afternoon I had.
I was greeted by a 10,000 watt PA and full stage show with lights and a train wreck.
The lead guitarist had dressed like Angus and we quickly got into the set starting with Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be.
4 hours passed so quickly and I left with lots of handshakes.
Yesterday I was leaving work at 1pm and I get another phone call asking me to go down again because the singer could only stay 2 hours.

Now I know it isn't the real thing but these 4 blokes have got the mannerisms of the individual ACDC members down to a fine art and if I squinted a little bit it looked very real.
My band are good at playing ACDC but this was another level with every member playing very accurately what is on record and the power coming out of a 10,000 watt rig and 4,000 watt monitoring system was awesome.
Well it was nearly a dream come true.

So, have any of you had a dream come true?
It could be that girl that you would never have thought would let you near her or a ride in a Centurion tank.

No I don't, so which type of "muso" are you?

a) A person who is obsessed with music.

b) A person who learns music and has instrumental lessons at school.

c) A musician who uses 12 chords where 3 will suffice.

d) Someone who is obsessed with listening to and creating music.

Only one answer please.

Please don't link to that site.

Nice couple of days for you then, nice one!

No dreams come true so far. Hopefully might have a dream come true in the next month or two, but i probably wont shout about it on here if i do. It'll be basically starting over, somewhere else. Just hope it works out :)
