Dreamland Margate is an amusement park located in Margate, Kent, England. The site of the park was first used for amusement rides in 1880, although the Dreamland name was not used until 1920 when the park's Grade II* listed Scenic Railway wooden rollercoaster was opened.

2015 First phase of new Dreamland opens on 19 June

But many of the comments are NOT GOOD!

Much of the park to the left of the Scenic will have further restored rides in the future.

Why was half the park unfinished, I paid good money!

Couldn't even ride the wooden rollercoaster!

:(

Dose anyone else see this as a bit of a nostalgic over indulgence.

It went bust for a reason, and that reason still exists. If it's not able support itself commercially, will it just end up shutting in a year or two, or is it going to be kept open using public/donated money as a quasi museum.

I saw it on the news a couple of days ago, and most of the staff and customers looked on borrowed time.

Be nice to see it succeed, a labour of love id imagine for those involved in bring it back.

A couple of years ago, watched a documentary on pbs, the oldtime theme parks across America, they it seems were numerous and incredibly popular.

Maybe dreamland would be wise to see what works across the water.

The UK coast doesn't have the appeal it used to have decades ago. People can travel far easier and expectation is far higher. Good luck to it though.

True, I really feel this theme park will not be gathering much trade away from the Summer months. It's too small and generally Margate is a **** tip
