Driving in Europe?

is there any law to say you must have been driving for 2 years before you can drive in europe??

someone said this to me today, is it true

You can drive in Europe when you have a Full UK driving license. Even if you are 17. Period.

Yes there are length restrictions, but nothing you need to worry about on a "normal" holiday or trip.

Only problem you have is asking insurance to cover you, if they don't already.

There may however be restrictions (in France I beleive) where younger drivers are not allowed to drive on some roads or at some speeds, or at least thats what I remember hearing. not 100% sure if its a) true, or b) affects foreign drivers.

I drove to belgium the week I passed in a 200 pound car, apart from our customs giving me a hard time and emptying my car contents onto the concrete to weigh the car - I had no problems
