How many lessons did you take and how much were they per lesson?

I had 7 lessons and they were £17 each I think.

I'm currently having lessons at £18 an hour (Mate's rates as instructor is a family friend). They are normally £24/h mind. I've had 10 and I am test ready.

Hmm I was with BSM back in the days..cost 20quid ish then I went with some cheap private company and it cost 18quid. Altogether, I've had 15hrs learning with instructors

I had 18 lessons, paid about a tenner per lesson (family friend).
I didn't go out with my parents or anyone else, just them. Passed first time with 3 minors.
Haven't driven since.

I had a few, probably around 20hrs or so (all were 2 hour lessons), at £10ph. :cool:

16 hours, 7 doubles and 2 tests, just shy of 20 quid an hour.

I had far too many, at £20 per hour.

I had mostly private practice in my own car over a period of about 18 months, only had about 15 Lessons, most again in my own car.

1 Theory and 2 Practical.

My car lessons were £6.50 per hour, I think I had around 12-14 of them.
HGV was a one week course which was £400.

21 lessons if I remember rightly (20 before my first test and 1 between my first and second test)

First 10 were £7.00 each and the rest were £12.00 each and the lessons lasted anywhere from 60-90 minutes.

i had about 30 hours before i took my first test. Failed on 1st attempt, then took a few more lessons to keep me fresh untill my next test and passed on the 2nd attempt.

I passed in 2000, so prices probably not comparable !

I had like 45 @ £18 a lesson.
During last summer, passed in aug 09.

I had probably 55-60 hours.

I had about 35 hours with two different instructors and I just was getting nowhere. Then I rode bikes for over two years on the road, got some lessons with an instructor friend of my dad's who does road instruction as well as track stuff, and I probably had 16 hours or so with him. Found it much much easier.

I think it was a combination of the instructor being very good imo, and obviously I had a huge amount more road sense and so on from the bike. I struggled so much before, but I don't think I really *wanted* to drive at that point (like reeeeally want) so I was probably hard to teach. Much less confident then as well.

The first and second instructors I think were £18-20, the last one my dad's mate was £20.

7 lessons @ £17 iirc, then i foolishly failed, much to the mirth of my familty, had another double and aced it. I seem to rememeber following my instructor up the road when he came to pick me up for my first test! foolish things we do when we are young!

25 lessons of 90 minutes, 45€ each.

Passed test and theory 1st time though

( which is nice considering a test costs 220€ at an average driving school).

About half a year ago.

Be useful if some kind of date was attached to some quotes.

Mine were £20/h last year and I probably spent 1k in total getting my licence including one practical resit.

12 lessons @ 16 quid an hour, passed theory before starting lessons, and passed practical first time with 1 minor 6 weeks after first lesson was taken (including a 4 week wait for test over xmas)
