Argh, I've just dropped my 30D. Own stupid fault for having it delicately balanced on the printer, still with a bean bag screwed to the bottom and the flash on top :(

Anyway, it seems to work fine, but the clear plastic bit covering the LCD screen on the top of the camera has smashed.

Any ideas whether replacements are available.

Man, I'm such a numpty :(

Thanks. I've emailed a couple of places because they weren't answering their phones.

I don't really want to fork out for a repair because it would be really simple to replace the plastic. Just a case of putting a dab of glue around the edge and pressing into place. Hopefully they'll be able to get me a spare part though. Fingers crossed.

have you got insurance?

It's a tiny clear plastic window. Hardly worth a new camera  It's 4 yrs old anyway and my insurance lasted for 3. Didn't reckon it was worth renewing.

I've ordered a new plastic panel for £20 from the Colechester Camera Repair place :)
