DS games similar to Super Mario Brothers?

Finally got round to starting the Santa shop. Need a bit of advice on DS games; the kids (4 & 7) love SMBros but I haven't a clue what game to get them which is similar & easy enough to pick up n play; so many games just have too much text in them. Any advice? Thanks.

Castlevania games. They aren't too similar but are flaming brilliant. Sonic games also.

I hated Mario-Party so much I never looked at again. MKDS is wicked though! Mario Slam Basketball isn't bad either. And neither are the Mario&Luigi RPG games.
