Dual-Core SU4100 VS Core 2 Solo SU2700

Hello. Im looking to get a new laptop and I have found two with the following proccessors.

Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor SU4100
(1.3Ghz, 800Mhz, 2MB Cache

and

Intel Pentium Core 2 Solo SU2700
(1.3GHz, 800MHz, 2MB Cache)

So which one?

Using a cpubenchmarksite. They say the duel core SU4100 is a lot higher ranked than the core2 solo SU2700. But I heard that even though it is a single core because the solo is a core 2 and the 4100 is a duel core, the solo would be better ?

But using intel's site, they pretty much grade both the same. So I have to go by cpubenchmark.net

Does anyone know enough on these too proccessors to give me some advice please as to which one is better.

the duals core will be much faster !

The Pentium Dual-Core chips are just Core 2 chips with less cache. Same architecture.

im guessing these are both on the acer timeline series? go with the dual, the single core will be quite crippled and you'll notice a bit if a performance hit if you play games or do anything demanding

The single core is on the toshiba 110 I think. But its cool I will def go with the duel core. Thanks guys.
