Im setting up my old dual screens for my brother, screens connect and run just fine in extended desktop mode - 3840x1080. This causes some issues when playing games though; they stretch across both screens in such a way that only the middle 3rd of normal view shows - cutting out the majority of menus etc.

When I run these screens on my setup it just runs the apps on the primary display at a normal res 1920x1080. My setup means it is running one GPU per screen though. My brothers system is a single GTX275.

Is it possible to get the screens running similarly to my system or should I just get a GT210/220 to run the secondary display?

Cheers.

You need to go into the nVidia control panel and set up the monitors through there. You should be able to designate the primary and secondary monitor and select what applications open on what monitor and whether they are maximised/windowed/stretched across both.

Yeah i set it up through the NV control panel, got the primary/secondary set fine but couldnt see anywhere to choose "maximised/windowed/stretched" etc.
Will take another look.

There was a program I had who's name I can't remember (swear it began with a T?) that was similar in the sense you could individually set up profiles for different types of .exe's.
If I can find it I'll post it here.

Well, not sure why but nVidia Control panel just decided to add another option to its list - Dual View. Its got everything running like it did on my system now so Im happy.

Cheers for the input guys.
