I am looking to move from a single Belinea 102030w monitor, mpva panel, to either a twin 23 inch or twin 24 inch setup.

Viewing angles are important to me as are colour reproduction, I also game on my current set-up occasionally but it is not vitally important to have a gaming set-up but as always budget has to be kept in mind - I have no set budget in mind other than I want to get the first two criteria sorted beforre spending the cash.

Ideally I would want a zero dead pixel policy on the monitors as well.

So what monitors should I be looking at, panel type, manufacturer and also what ball park / budget do I need to be looking in to get what I want?

Currently my pc has a single 5770 do I need another card to achieve the dual set-up or how do I run the 2 monitors - never done this before.

Anything else I need to be aware of?

the 5770 supports multiple monitors - just plug them into the ports at the back, and use adapters where needed.

your'e looking at about £200+ per monitor to get IPS or 100+ for get TN
IPS is better for colour and viewing angles.
you can get some Dell S-IPS panels for 230~ each and they have 1920x1080 and many different connectors including usb hub and displayport

You could go for the U2311h ;)
I've been doing a lot of reccomending this monitor, as it is excellent for the price and competes with high end TN panel monitors.
i've heard MVA panels have problems with backlight bleeding (light showing around the edges when black screen is showing) though from looking online, IPS seems to have the advantage in the same way as TN -

"S-IPS panels are generally the best... you'll get wider viewing angles, and more accurate color/contrast across the entire screen."

I cant really answer that properly as i haven't had that experience, however, as it is the same aspect ratio 16:9 you could imagine an inch extra on your screen and see what you think. the resolution will be the same either way.
I think it will be noticable -obviously one will look bigger, but you will get used to the size and probably be happy with it.

check the dimensions of the u2311h and the 24" version, and make some cardboard cutouts to test ;)

Just double checked the size of the u2311h, hhhhmmm it's a big beast - yes I know it's 23 inch what did I expect!:D

What 22 inch monitors and 20 inch monitors have the IPS panels?

If I bought second hand is the dell warranty transferable?
