So, err how is it done nowadays?

I have the following kit that is going into a new Besta TV unit as per my other thread:
- Panasonic GT60
- old Marantz stereo amp (infrared)
- Virgin TiVo (infrared)
- FireTV (bluetooth)
- Sony BD player

I'd like to put doors on the TV unit but I can't work out exactly how hard this is going to make my life to control all of these

I'd like to eventually get a Harmony but I'm unsure if this would help with the old Marantz amp, it's also not on the cards now seen as we've spent a small fortune since moving house! So, in the meantime do I need an IR blaster or something? :o

I have an Ultimate One Touch and the hub is just for charging and storage.

I don't know what IR repeater I use. I had a pro installing team to do all my av gear. I just paid them at the end. :)

With the Harmony One wouldn't I need an IR repeater as well?

EDIT: Sorry I think I mean the Ultimate, haven't researched much about them yet. tldr; If I buy a Harmony do I need anything else?

I use the 'ELEGIANT Infrared Remote Control Receiver Extender Repeater Emitter USB Cable Adapter' to control my tivo box inside my cupboard.

Thanks, can you power it from the TiVo? I can't remember off-hand but Googling seems to suggest there's two usb sockets on the back. And I'd just need another one for my amp?

Any recommendations? :)

And for the Harmony wouldn't I need the hub thing for IR stuff?

The harmony Ultimate (which is the one that was £40 off and that I purchased) includes the following

One RF Remote Control
One RF receiver / IR, Bluetooth and WiFi Transmitter
Two Additional IR Blaster.

The RF Receiver sits in the cabinter with the IR blasters connected into other cabinets if required.

The Remote then sends RF to the receiver which translates it to the correct format (so IR for Sky, Bluetooth for PS3/4 and WiFi for my Roku) and sends it to the correct device.

Ah, that part I didn't understand :) The Harmony Ultimate or Ultimate One?

I just remembered I have an IR remote for my HDMI switcher, and also my Apple TV is IR. Wonder if I should plump for one of the Neet IR hub things. Or save for a Harmony. Hmn..
