DV camcorder as a Webcam

Hi guys
i was wondering if i could maybe use my DV camcorder as a webcam ? i did try some software called WebCamDV 2.1 but it never worked .is there any other software that you guys use that i could maybe try .and with any luck free stuff that would work in yahoo or MSN skype

Does the camera have an option to turn USB streaming on/off?

Turning it on sorted the problem for me

I tried using my JVC DV camcorder as a web cam. It worked, but no where near as good as a £12 creative web cam.
MSN found the camera no problem and the set up worked fine, just that the picture was very laggy.

the camera i have is all so a JVC but i cant get it to work in yahoo . the reason i want to try using the camera is i need to show a woman something but i need to zoom in on it

ok its my fish tank she wants to see the fish but the tank is on the other side of the room . my camera only has a firewire and a svhs socket .i am wondering if i can run the camera through my tv card with a svhs cable

my canon mvx250i works brilliantly as a webcam, very high detail picture etc...

im using firewire instead of usb if that helps any.
