ive been asked to shove some wedding shots onto a DVD style gallery, with background tracks, transitions , framing etc

anyone got a software recommendation ? (ideally with free trial)

Ive just tried the Ulead one and i dont rate it at all, too slow and awkward

i just want something i can load the music in, load the photos in, click go and let the program do the rest

it doesnt have to be too fancy, and can be tacky as u like :)

thnx in advance

Try Pro-Show Gold by PhotoDex - http://www.photodex.com/

Don't have it, but I believe from other people that it is very good.

If you want something free, try BreezeBrowser Pro - not sure if it does DVD's though. I use it for batch processing of wedding proof album pages so not sure about the slideshow bit though I know it does it!

**edit** Breezebrowser is not free, though I am sure I never paid for it!

Theres loads to choose from , ProShow Gold , Memmories on TV , Photos2DVD ,Pics2TV ,a good one by Canopus called Lets Photo Express , the list goes on .If it's for speed then ProShow Gold , if it's for good efects like the Ken Burns Pan & Zoom then it's Photo2DVD ,but takes longer to render. There is a working demo for Lets Photo EXpress but only lets you use one background sound track but the effects are awsum .There's about 15 different slide shows , some where the pictures zoom onto the screen , another where the pics drop in from the top , and the one I like is the Picture album and the pictures zoom & pann . Check it out as it really is good .Lastly , just about all video editing programs will turn your photos in to DVD slide shows , Serif Movie Plus , Pinnacle , Ulead .I still prefer the ones designed for the purpose though.
