E39 530D Price

This E39 530D isn't too far from me, is this a good price or over price?

thoughts appreciated.

I'd say it's at last £1500 over priced. It doesn't seem to have any options like e-seats or satnav. I would expect those for that price.

9 grand for 8 year old bmw.. Part exchange price of this car is £5750. So unless it has comms pack and little vodka fountain in the middle, in this colour and this trim, it ain't worth more than £7.5k retail.

That's horrendously overpriced.

In July 2007, I bought a July 2003, 1 owner, manual 2003 530d with 83k on the clock and more kit for £10700. 2001 models were going for about £8500-9000 at the time, so that is really really overpriced.

Fantastic cars though, and I loved the Manual. I got stunning economy.

There was a lovely red 530D touring on one of the BM forums for sale at a much lower price than that.

The manual gearbox in the E39 is like driving a lorry, really notchy and imprecise, not what you would call nice in my opinion!

i have an e39 M5 and can say the manual gearbox is superb and nothing like what ollyM is sugesting.

My opinion has been formed after having access to an E39 M5

EDIT: Maybe Pete's M5 is broken then, or I'm expecting too much?

No, but I've driven quite a few manuals and a lot of them are better than the E39 manual gearbox
