I'm looking for 2gb for my current setup E4300 dual, VSTA mobo, x1950pro. I want to overclock the 4300 and currently have it at 2.4ghz with my old 1gb of DDR ram.

Any suggestions?

Looks like a very sweet deal, I can't believe the memory prices a the moment. I take it that memory will overclock very well if I ever decided to upgrade my mbo to a more OC friendly one?

There is a suggestion in one of the other threads that the motherboard can't generate a high enough voltage to power the Crucial Ballistix. You may need to go for something a bit cheaper with a lower power requirement. Check out the official thread in motherboards and there are people there who will tell you what definitely works. That motherboard is cross-bred VIA880 chipset and it's a bit funny sometimes.

These Asrock boards are a stepping stone solution towards a full blown c2d - pci-e - ddr2 system. The best clocks are achieved with an agp gfx card and ddr1 ram.
They will generally reach 300fsb but add in a pci-e gfx and you'll need to clock it back a bit to remain stable. Add in ddr2 ram and you'll stifle it even more, probably be stuck around 285fsb, so ddr2 is fine if you intend to quickly move onto a new Gigabyte, Asus etc mobo but I don't recommend ddr2 as a long term upgrade with the Asrock.
