It is likely that I will keep the 5 when the lease expires and consider a new car in 3 years time (the 5 will be, err, 5 by then).

When the car is out of warranty I'm in two minds. Do I keep it standard or I do I make some subtle mods?

I'd like the M5 rear bumper and exhaust but don't want people to think "oh look, he's trying to make his filthy diesel look like an M5".

So I could custom cut out the other side of the bumper and have another silencer. It won't look like the M5 but should sill look nice.

Or, do I get one of the Hamann style kits?

Or, am I too old and should know better?

Poll please! :)

i do like that rear bumper and diffuser, but not with 4 exhausts.
a 530d with quad exhausts is just silly :p

The e60 in M-Sport form looks great, don't do anything to it IMO.

The only thing that I do like, if yours doesn't have it already, is the rear lip spoiler that a lot of the newer M-Sports seem to have (not sure if it's become standard?).

They do look good I reckon :)

Friends dad parked his E60 M5 next to my dads E61 LCI M-Sport diesel this morning, and whilst they are pretty similar looking, the bumpers are the main improvement on the M5. That and the engine sounding loads nicer and going to 8250rpm.
