I want to boost the CPU a bit, but without overclocking my RAM. It's only Corsair XMS2-6400C5 so I don't want to make the system unstable.

I'm just going through the many options in the BIOS - a few things I want to check before I start the prime tests...

I've manually set the memory to 1.9v and I'll set the timings manually next. I'm a bit puzzled by the values though - the Overclockers website rates the memory at 5-5-5-12, the writing on the chips states 5-5-5-15, and the SPD reports it as 5-5-5-18. Leaving it set to Auto as above, it runs at 5-6-6-18. What should I set and what should DRAM Write Recovery Time be set to?

Also, do I need to manually set a Vcore value for the E6600 or just leave it set to Auto? Monitoring it with Asus PC Probe, the value increases under load from 1.22 to 1.38.

Thanks for any advice. :)
