E6600 in a ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA?

I know I know, it's an old board...but I have two kids so I am poor

I was given a Dell PC, so I've robbed the E6600 out of it to replace my E4400 in my ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA board.

The E4400 was running @ 2.7 quite happily on a stock cooler....but this E6600 won't even boot at anything anywhere near this

I've had a quick search, but wondered if anyone knew of any settings that I could try please?

Are the e4400 800 fsb?

If so the e6600 is 1066 fsb which might be pushing the mo bo a bit when overclocking.

Ah I see.

I dont suppose that you can recommend a board for an E6600?

I appriciate it's getting on a bit, maybe I could pick something up in MM or is there anything here in OcUKs sale that would suit?
