I got Mole to remove the horrible fan guard and replace the red switch with a black one too. :)

I want to remove the plastic of the case but will wait until the end I think. :)

The case was bought from MM off Gangster (cheers mate)

The mobo was bought off MM

Thanks forum members. :)

the PSU I already had.

The custom Phase cost me 300 all in.It was originally 375 but he let me off :D

Mole never charged me to silence it. And redo the grill and retune it etc...

He just charged me postage.

:)

Considering the cost of a nice a nice water loop relatively speaking its been quite cheap.

has anyone got a link to a guide to the custom mounting mechanism. I am considering getting a new head on mine and a desuperheater coil. i am sick to death of seal string as well.

I'm hoping for higher than 3.8ghz as per sig mate,

I'm getting that with water.

Right guys I'm back,

After an in depth converstaion with messiah khan lol. :)

Windows is on and im idling at -35c

Remember this is unit thats quieter than most so I'm pleased to at least have it up and running.

I have some pics of my insualtion install I'll post them in a bit ,I have to install a second psu to trick the phase to stay on all the time when I'm clocking.

Once I have the ultimate clock I can then setup the unit as a normal install.

Its anoying having the phase unit switch itself off then waiting for it to start again so the next step is getting a second PSU hotwired to the phase.

Thanks for all the interest BTW its keeping me going.

It took me 4 attemps to get the head seated correctly !

Ok I fixed up a second psu so the Phase wouldn't shut down after saving from the bios.

4ghz @ 1.65v in bios

I apologise for the time but I want to push it further than 4ghz so hence just the screenie without 8hrs stabilty.

Nice speed on the ram too with nice tight timings.

This is so much fun :D

Glad the P5B is a nice clocker too.

How have you done it ?

I've just got myself some Arctic Ceramique and was going to apply it as usual in a thin layer across the IHS with a Credit card.

I just did a thin line down the centre like I would with as5.

Unfortuately forgetting that it will freeze this way rather than spreading out in the usaly manner :o

heh.. enjoying then yes?

on that first pic is it showing +16c at load?

wouldn't be very comfortable with that tbh but if its wrong just ignore me.

I have reseated the head and goop and I'm now getting -8 full load and -23 idle. :)

Big difference from last night attempt -14idle and +16 load :o

What's the point in posting 20 minute Orthos runs? Get it overnight. :D

The point is :

whats the point of posting 8hr 4ghz runs when I have no intention of running the cpu that slow. ;) :D

Its to test load temps and scaling on vcore to asertain my new setup capabilty.
