Ebay make me laugh...

Trying to list an item in the video games section and I get this...

Thank you for choosing eBay.

Due to the level of disputed transactions in the category in which you are choosing to list, eBay is taking strong measures to protect both buyers and sellers on eBay.

To sell your item in this category you must offer PayPal as the only payment method. Please sign up for a PayPal account if you do not already have one.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
That is so unfair! I want to offer what payments I want to accept!
sheesh I cant offer Cheques or bank transfer..... :(

So basically, the buyer pays via PP. You send the game, they receive it and claim it's a copy. They then get onto PP and perfrom a chargeback on you.

Nice.

actualy its a SYSTEM not a game

whats wrong with offering cheques and Bank Transfer?

What is this 'Cheque' you speak of, sounds ancient :p

A lot of people dont want to use Paypal (i dont but i do to get some stuff on ebay that are PP only) so they send cheques, I work for Tesco, and a lot of people still use cheques to pay for their shopping

I can't see the big problem but if you must offer cheque why don't you just write on the description that you will accept a cheque.

I don't think you understood it

It is saying I CAN NOT offer any other form of payment, the only method that I am aloud to use (including in the description) is paypal, nothing else :(

ASDA have stopped and as an ex-checkout-teamleader for nearly 3 years at Tesco I can tell you that Tesco will be getting rid of checks sooner rather than later the processing for them is a pointless waste of time and resources. Staff don't know how to handle them properly, they can bounce which means bad debit for Tesco and its a whole load of pointless paper work which will save Tesco money because people could just use the same plastic card to by debit rather than check.

If you work on the checkouts at Tesco you will know that most staff are incapable of actually printing a check without getting it either stuck in the machine, creased or upside down.

yeah becuase they were new, after a few cheques have been proccessed they get the hang of it :) (at our store anyway :p)

but i do agree with you though

and to the other poster, no its not "immediate payment only" they are only on Buy it now's

Yes thats true but turn over rate is very large at Tesco and many of the staff don't care enough to learn, its so annoying as a team leader to get called over to open the front of the printer remove a check then close it because they cant be more careful in the first place. There are many things I could complain about at Tesco, I think I have seen it all at Tesco but I expect its just the surface, customers (not all) really are idiots, they winge about pointless things and walk in front of moving cars in the car park.

tell me about it, some customers are a pain, we say hello to them, offer help, and they ignore us, get ratty etc and dont say thanks when we pack their shopping too! it ticks me off! . ECOH goes out the window :p

thats exaqctly what makes it really hard to work there, ive been there 8 months now, only doing it part-time (i wanted more hours though) whilst im studying so I can earn some real money and get away from that.

It is a joke, I wish more customers could see it from our shoes, "you work for Tesco so i dont care" attitude

Got another job planned mate?

Just offered and accepted a job at Apple Regents Street as a Mac Specialist which should be fun!

I am also at Uni studying Graphic Design New Media

Nice one, sounds good

I wish you all the best, i cant wait to finnish my course and gointo computer maintainance, would be good to get away from he bad customers ;) :)
