I have an item on ebay at the moment listed as buy it now. There are quite a few watchers.

In the actions part I can 'Send to online auction' I have never done this before. If I do choose to send it to online auction -

What price will it start at?
Will a reserve be set?
Is the buy it now price the max it can get to? and
Will it cost me more in listing fees?

Thanks

What price will it start at?

What ever you want it to be, Remember that the person making the bid can't see the reserve price. You may get emails requesting you to supply this info. I normally state that the reserve price will not be disclosed in the ad.

Will a reserve be set?

Yes, unless you change it. If bids come in under the reserve, you have the option of allowing the highest bidder to buy under the reserve price you set but it's your choice. The highest bid over the reserve is binding.

Is the buy it now price the max it can get to?
On buy it now, the item closes immediately.

Will it cost me more in listing fees?

generally, buy it now and reserve do cost a little more depending on the item. Check their pricing policy.

In general, you have to decide if something is of value that you don't want to go for less than what you want, but you may also want to attract bidders so you have a choice. For example, when i sold my motorbike, the reserve was 4K. The nearest bidder came in at 3.8K and i accpeted his bid. As it was outside of the site (i.e. by email) i avoided the sale fees too.
