I am 99% certain this is a scam but. Ive just sold something on Ebay for £300. A person, who registered a day before auctioned ended won it. So i send invoice, say i ONLY take paypal. (Oh by the way, registered in Canada)

To my email she replied

Hello Adam.

Am very sorry for any inconveniences i might cost you. it's due to the fact that am new on ebay and your item got to be the very one i'll love to present to my teacher on his coming birthday.i need to let you know i am sending the item to my Teacher in Africa Nigeria as his birthday gift coming up next week.meanwhile i had contacted royalmail asper the postage cost which is 57 to 64 GBP dependind on the waigth of the item.I will include extral pounds to make it 75 pounds for the postage and for any other inconvinency.I have contacted paypal to confirm postage Address.kindly send the invoice so as for me to effect the payment imidiately via paypal.

Regards

Ok so, if i recieve a payment though Paypal, once i withdraw it can she get it back?

Or should i stay well clear of this?

Just put into any future sales that you will only sell to someone in the UK and will only post to someone in the uk. Nothing will be sent to Nigeria. :)

Just use the tin of Spam graphic but change the P to a C :D

see above :)

Its not a scam if you can get the guy to put a loaf of bread on his head, its pure comedy value then :)

And this is why they constantly email people. Because some of us are simply too gullable and/or dense.

PS have asked for 419 eater if they could get someone in Nigeria to make our own personalised scam image :D

Just to note: they're patroling Monster.co.uk now! My brother has his CV on there, and he got an e-mail from a Nigerian couple with the usual "I have lots of money bla bla bla and need it moved around so I can claim it!". It's hilarious, the entire country of Nigeria is corrupt to the core.
