Ebay shelling

Always remember that ebay is not really an auction in the traditional sense.

A pro ebay buyer never bids anything until the last seconds. What's the point of doing so?

^^ yeh exactly, watch it till the last moment and put a bid in 10/30 seconds before.

what difference does it make if you bid in the last 10 seconds or the first 10 seconds? if you are willing to pay £180 for something, then whack £180 bid in. if it goes over that then you were never gunna buy it anyway, if it goes for the same amount or less then you got what you want. whatever happens in between shouldn't make any difference

Many years ago I was trying to buy a personal minidisc player (one of the first ones you could write songs from the pc via usb) and there was a US seller shipping to the UK at significantly cheaper than rrp.

I bid on 4 or 5 in a row and the same bidder (when you could see their details) kept putting in much higher bids just before the auction ended. The seller was clearly fake bidding.

I sent an angry email to them threatening to report them for it then the next day bid on one of their auctions. This time the fake account didnt make an appearance and I got the item for half the price that he had sold all the previous ones for.

I pay 10% ebay fees and 3% paypal fees. And when it comes to sellers they never back you up or protect you. They even stop you leaving negitive feedback for non payers. They drive me mad.

They always side with the buyer even when they are wrong.

You report a item and they do nothing.

It makes a massive difference. cant rember how many more auctions i win (for significantly less too) when say putting 100 on within 5 seconds left as opposed to days.

Its because people dont generally do what you suggest. Joe average puts a low bid in,waits for it to get beaten, then adds say 5 more. If you bid say 40 higher in the last seconds

1) they have no time to react amd may again add 5er more and still loose
2) be away from the internet, unable to react

If indeed everyone did what you suggest this what you suggested would work.but they dont.people want to much of a bargain.

Last second also prevents shilling and also stops you going over your personal limit as you also dont have time to bid again

I also bid in the last few seconds. Justsnipe website (free accounts, limited weekly bids) puts my bid in with 8 seconds of auction time left. Suits me down to the ground as I don't really like watching the end of an auction and doing the F5.

I use a sniping site. No limits, customisable time before bid insertion

Just to confirm the dirty ebay seller. He got greedy and bid to high and ended up winning the auction, an hour later it's relisted with a buy it now.

Leave it and bid elsewhere. Pay what you think the item is worth. Don't go any higher. Who cares about shill

Yes "blatent" there is no other plausible explanation.

Suggest some other plausible explanations for a series of no/low feedback bidders with a history of bid retractions who only bid on this sellers items followed by immediate relisting of the item after one of them ends up winning?

Why? People had as usual made their minds up from the off. The further screenshots by the OP just "prove" his guilt beyond any "reasonable" doubt now. Pretending there could be any other possible plausible explanations would be futile. Well done boys another scammer foiled. :p
