ebay sniping software

So what happens if a few people all use these programs and all enter the same amount

How fast does ebay update so the program gets a update so then it can update ebay with a bid and then ebay to update so the program can get the update to update the bid, if you know what i mean? Not sure I've updated yet

This needs quoting, not the best sniping tool is eBay post !

Yep with all the assumptions it makes which is always the flaw with the "look sniping means it will be cheaper" theory.

There are a LOT of assumptions in the above posted as if they are fact.
Example, the amount the sniper wants to pay is above the level the early bidder puts. Simply reversing the values means the person who put their bid in early wins at the amount you would have expected.
Ie they were all along willing to pay more than the sniper. Sniping didnt get it cheaper it just caused the person to fail to win.

The sniper didn't win but just put up the cost at the last second. There you go its "proof sniping puts the cost up" ;) Look at both angles properly and you will see its just impossible to prove sniping means you win for the smallest amount.

I accept that there will be times sniping will get it for less BUT EBAY is not and never will be a perfect market place so sniping will never ever be able to make it one.

I should imagine it can cope with a few, hundreds maybe, thousands (highly unlikely) maybe not.

A second is a short time for a human but actually quite some time for a computer.
I would imagine as a bid needs to be placed an item is "locked" the bid applied and any auto bidding (increments) applied then unlocked. Then if there is another bid its relocked and attempted to be applied repeat until auction end time.
