Edinburgh: Good places for lunch/coffee/snacks/etc.

Good luck, I assume the course is broadly very similar, as there's a fair bit of crossover between the tutors at the schools. I thoroughly enjoyed it, not half as scary as I expected, and really miss the other trainees and my students now. Aww.

I'm pretty apprehensive about it, which is unusual for me. Just concerned about the work load really, and the length of the days (as I'll be commuting from Glasgow). Oh well, we'll see how it goes.

Rather just go to subway and save myself like £5-£10, Yes I'm cheap.

The standing Order is a wetherspoon's on George St. About a 3 minute walk, hi5.

I had dinner at Karens Unicorn on Abercromby Place (next street over from Queen Street) last time I was there. It was really nice, though probably more suited to an evening meal than for lunch.

I can vouch for this place too, Mubs and myself were there together!

Aww come on, you need to shake yourself out of that. It'll do you no good, you're a smart guy stop wallowing in self pity and pick yourself up and do stuff. Even if it's just little things they start to build up.

Best Pub in Edinburgh (in my experience) is the Holyrood 9A, and they do they best Burgers I've ever eaten too.

Another vote for Holyrood 9A. Also, The Cambridge Bar on Young Street is pretty awesome for burgers too!
