Electronic Producers: best way to make floor shaking bass?

TL audio make plenty of nice kit; sure there is better out there but for the money (which i don't have piddling out my face) they are great.

the rest of what ^ he says i agree with though; although if you can get some half decent monitors and some ns-10's, get it sounding balanced on both, you're 1/2-way to becoming a mastering engineer ;)

thinking about it, when is it you need it done by? if you wanted (depending on your version of reason - i have r4) send the finished mix and i'll try and master it for you?

4th June, and I use r4 as well, thanks mate :)

Yeah, I'm setting up a proper soundsystem soon, all I have at the moment is a choice of Microlab R700 or Corsair SP2200. Over the summer I'll be building a proper setup with amp, monitors, and sub. Which I'll probably need recommendations for :)

It's just a bit risky at the moment in halls to have expensive equipment, I worry about having my pc, and my dremel was stolen :(

Hi guys :)

This one is for the fellow producers :) I have a set at the O2 Arena (well, proud2) coming up, and want to get a new track sorted for then. I have ideas, but I'm not sure of the best way to get floor shaking bass, that won't cut over the drums and synths. For a heavy dubstep track. I can't seem to get it right on Reason, but I'm not sure if that's due to the speaker system I'm using. So, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys :D

Have you tried fiddling with the scream 4 distortion?

Also glad to hear that someone is using reason, I've got reason 5, but I don't have the time to use it at the moment, also I suck at timing.
