Email pushing/fetching not working, help please!!!

Hi, got my new iphone recently and set up my google mail as the email, was sweet the first day whenever I got a email it instantly told me I have the email.

However now for some reason it's not working and I have to go into the inbox before it refreshes, all the settings suggest that fetch/pushing is on, anyone know the problems?

Gmail doesn't support pushing yet :confused:

Hmm i'm sure it worked when I first set it up - even in the settings it ask's me would I like to get the email pushed, surely it wouldn't give that option had it not been there?

My bad google never did it, just got a Yahoo account and it does it sometimes and doesn't others very annoying.

Are you sure you're not sending it by chance just before the 15 minute email check? So sometimes it would appear to be 'pushing' and others not? I thought it was only Exchange and MobileMe that supported push anyway?

I've set it to manual and push on the yahoo and sometimes it pushes and others it just doesn't.

I've got the setting now down to push and 1 hour check, does 15 min check really waste much battery life? Can't use that much power to check for mail...
