We had two teams fighting last season though under the old regulations. I'm not so confident the new regs guarantee that one of the teams won't become dominant like Merc were under the old ones.

Obviously there's still a chance, and Ferrari are probably closest to that. The bouncing on their car is terrible, although nowhere near as bad as the Merc, so if they get that under control, we could see more lap time.

Interesting race, 4th vs 13th is a little humiliating for Hamilton. Russell managed to overtake without DRS, as did a few others... DRS didn't help that much.

Well done to RBR I guess, Leclerc got greedy and should have been settled for 3rd.

Not particularly singling out Lewis, Lando etc seem to have much better deals for some reason?

Tsunoda AlphaTauri 0.75 2022 +

Assuming that list is anywhere near correct, Leclerc doesn't seem to be doing too bad in comparison to his peers - out of Verstappen, Leclerc, Sainz, Norris, Russell etc. it's only Verstappen out earning him, which is fair enough considering he's at least got more than a few race wins to his name.

Given how different that list is compared to the one @Mr Jack linked, i'd say the only thing we can deduce for sure is that we shouldn't trust the internet too much when it comes to things like private salary figures :p

Edit - main difference there is probably that Lando signed a new contract after the list I found was published! :p

Indeed, although in this case the big difference is that the table from @Kenai was published pre-the announcement of Norris' new contract. Of course, $80m over 4 years might be back-loaded but it seems very doubtful that he's still on $5m.

If Leclerc wins this year, he'll no doubt see a sizeable bump in salary.

Don’t forget they’ll also likely have all manner of win bonuses, performance incentives with possible scaling (e.g 2x multiplier for winning the championship) and sponsorship deals that will wildly throw that list off.

How was mazepin being paid anything ? He should have been paying Haas considering how crap his driving was........................

Alonso on 20mil seems excessive for a has been.

I think Mazepin’s Dad was paying Haas more than enough for his seat, wasn’t that the point? :p

Alonso can still race, someone like him still brings in the fans and a lot of sponsorship and that’s what it’s about.
