Arsenal claim that their new stadium will be the most profitable in the world.

"We will earn significantly more in revenue. Our gate income will probably be the highest in the world," said managing director Keith Edelman. He goes onto say that "We will have 60,000 fans and higher priced tickets and more premium tickets than any other club in the UK

Took this from Skysports.

What a bloody stupid comment to make! I wish they'd bring the cost of tickets down quite frankly not have them go up again.
Also I love Highbury dearly but the atmosphere is terrible sometimes embarrising. With all this premium rubbish I'm frightened the new place is going to quiet too.

What a surprise.
You didnt think they wouldnt maximise the fact they have more seats by increasing the ticket prices?

The game is a business now , working class sport my arse.

Shocking. Also, the most expensive seats (excluding corporate) are now £4,500 a season at Emirates stadium. Chelsea are second on around £2,500. Profiteering of the worst kind.

Still, its not like those bloody north londoners can't afford it in that area :p

This is what happens when you put wan^H^H^Hbankers in charge of football clubs. Revenue streams and corporate butt kissing take precedence over things like atmosphere and Joe Public.

Just telling it as it is really. Glazers will get the ticket prices up to somewhere near a match no doubt within 5 years as they rekon with 76000 they'll rake it in.

One of the new quadrants is due to open in March I think.

Like the look of the emirates stadium, should be a good place to play in, if you can afford to get in and watch ;)

Having said this some money going away from football. Sky were openly telling staff and presenters to keep saying how exciting the premiership is and big it up to try and increase viewing figures.

Of course there are plenty of season tickets at the same price next season as they were this season. But that doesn't make a story. As far as I'm aware I won't be paying any more for a ticket next year than I do this year.

It's not the greatest thing old Keith will ever say, sort of shot himself in the foot somewhat.

I only paid £390 for my season ticket at Sunderland and it's the 2nd most expensive type other than corporate tickets. Want to swap places?

No I didn't think so

Something in my memory tells me that they decided to hold season ticket prices for the first season of it opening before enacting any rises. As to what those rises might be I have no idea. I also don't have a source it's just i think i remember hearing it somewhere, maybe someone could corroborate?

Stupid boasting about high ticket prices, especially after last years inquest to get them lowered. In other countries the most expensive tickets are around 25 euro's... and those are bloody good seats!

I read that this morning and was quite peeved myself and I really wish he'd kept his mouth shut.

My season ticket has risen from £990 in the East Lower, to £1165 in the Upper Tier of Ashburton Grove, but I have gone to a slightly higher level, so no massive increase really, although a lot of us are rather concerned that this will rise significantly for the season after, which could price a lot of people out of it.

Lot of cash that Kev.
Does that include cup & Euro games?

Mine doesnt , but its *only* £493

All of our season tickets include up to 7 FA Cup/Euro matches, so not as expensive as it seems, but still more than enough than I can afford really.

I'm really hope I get my season ticket next season, I'm just praying the capacity will help me along the waiting list. Even If I get up to Silver Member Status I'll be chuffed, at least i'll be able to get to most games then.

Got tickets for Wigan next Tuesday although that wasn't ever going to be hard. But at least i'll be able to go to Highbury one last time before it's gone forever.
Do the Arsenal regulars think the atmosphere will be decent in the new place? I believe part of the design was done to try and keep noise in....

Somnetims I wish we were more like the Continentals - i.e. bashing Drums, megaphones.

Some of my most enjoyable nights at Highbury were the European Games. Their suporters are fantastic, the whole 90 mins chanting throughout.

All new grounds are too quite... theres hardly any atmosphere at any of them!!!
Bring back the old terrencing I say!!!

Amen to that brother.

If I could make only one change to the modern game , that would be it.

In fact , I was going to post this a while back but this may be as good a time as any http://www.standupsitdown.co.uk/

A campaign run by some fine individuals.
Run by a Hammer (I think , but dont hold that against him ;))

Have a read through the site , sign the petition.
Its doubtful we'll get a back track on the ruling but its certainly worth a few minutes of your time.

I'm quite glad I'm a United fan now, no way I could afford Arsenal ticket prices, Kev's tickets about double mine

I wouldn't totally agree, the Millenium StadiumCardiff is fantastic imo. I still generally believe us English just aren't as loud at our Clubs as our Foreign counterparts.
