I expect there might be some of the very early rifles in the game (1776 onwards), and certain to be some in any potential napoleonic expansion.

Yeah it does makes sense, im impatient because ive been waiting years for a Napoleonic version of Total war. Its been long overdue.

EDIT : Ah wait hang on...actually I am wrong. I had thought you only needed steam if you wanted to multiplayer ETW, but actually it seems you need it for single player too. So ignore my initial reply, the answer is actually Yes, you do need steam.

Downloaded the demo today, haven't played any games in this series before. Was good fun especially flattening the building with the Spanish commander in it :p
 
I cant stop playing the demo. First game EVER I have not been able to put the Demo down.

Wifey complained off the noise, when the Cannons were being fired. Sounds like thunder downstairs apprently :P
 
Mine didnt start when I tried to play an actual game. It froze on the loading screen. I use XP pro.

Does it just take ages or was it a glitch as I could hear the game playing.
