Friend has a problem which has been going on for over a week now, he opens either IE or Firefox and nothing gets displayed on the screen. In the left bottom corner, it has the status Done.
He has a valid DHCP IP address and I can ping the gateway, DHCP server, DNS etc. ( Virgin Telewest Cable)
Even when AVG boots up on his system, it downloads the latest update fine, its just not showing anything on the webpages.
I have reinstalled Firefox, disabled the firewalls etc, but just cant get anything up on the screen from any webpage ??
The fact it is affecting both IE and Firefox makes me think I might do a complete reinstall. ( He is still using the same build he installed 4 years ago )
