Enabling SATA II on an Abit NF7-S

I have an old NF7-S mobo which has a silicon images sil3112 sata controller.

What I want to know is, will flashing my bios enable the sill3112 controller to support SATA II/300?

I know its possible with other sil controllers, however I can't find any documentation for the various bios updates available from abit's or sil's site for the 3112.

The SATA controller can only work @sata150. But you can use SATA2 hard drives as long as they are set to sata 1 which is normally done with a jumper.
