Eneloop Batteries

I've already got a lithium cell powered handlebar light :). I have the helmet torch in addition so that I have a direct beam where I'm looking. Will get the eneloops then.

I have a Nitecore Intellicharge I4.
Charges just about anything that will fit in the slots.

*KAPOW* thread revival again.

I've got some Eneloops...love em...I've also got some Energizer 2000mah and 2450mah, and for what I use them for they are absolutely rubbish (except for a flashgun).

These days I mainly use batteries for:
Wireless mice
Remote controls
Other little gadgets round the house

I charge them all up, stick them in a drawer and by the time I need them the Energizers are virtually dead while the Eneloops are fine.

So...I need more Eneloops but from what I can see there are more on the market since I bought them last....what would you guys recommend?

Does a higher mah give a longer charge or a faster recharge cycle in high power devices - such as flashguns?

Are Panasonic any better than Sanyo with Eneloops? I mean...they are black...that must count for something...right?

Basically, for lower power devices, what would you recommend?

I'm looking for about 16 I think.

Thanks very much. :)

Sanyo doesnt exits anymore, they are all Panasonic now.

They do 3 versions the low mah for things like remote controls, then the normal one, then a high mah version.

The lower the mah the longer they will last life wise, the Lites are rated at 3,000 cycles, while the normal are rated at 2,100, the Pros are rated at only 500 cycles.

Tells you everything here.

I'm happy with my Maha C401FS charger. I bought it on line from a firm in Portsmouth. The American version is guaranteed for life, the shop in Portsmouth offered me a limited guarantee.

The power brick supplied is quite heavy. It will charge AA & AAAs simultaneously complete mix and match.

Previously I had a Uniross charger which cooked the batteries, even the shrink wrap on the batteries bubbled with the heat.
