Hi guys

I have tested the new Enermax Apollish fans in my system.

I currently have a 800D with a single GTX480 and my CPU is sat under neath an H50.

I thought I would test the results of 3 x Enermax Apollish fans sat at the top of the case where Corsair kindly pre-cut 3 120mm holes.

Here are my result of my CPU temp using Prime95 with no fans in my case.

As for the LED brightness, they are great. My Corsair case was boring and dull, now however.

All in all, I think that these fans are a great buy and gives good CPU temp drops even when not using an air cooler. I imagine that using an air cooler wold yeild even bigger temp drops.
 
I think i prefer boring and dull to green!

Also, aren't they supposed to be a bit noisy?

And, for comparison how do 3 Yate Loons or Akasa Apache/Vipers compare with this?
 
The fans seem quieter than any Apache's. Hardly any addition noise over the GPU and the single fan in my Corsair anyway. So onto a winner. You can turn the LED's off if you like.
 
How well do they work on the H50?
The Enermax site suggests good static pressure at higher speeds?

They're more expensive than the Apaches too aren't they? are they worth the extra £3?

EDIT: My point being that Apaches work well on rads (I believe) and so could later be used on a rad if you moved to full water-cooling (not you specifically).

Hmm, just a thought: they knocked about 10'c off temps. BUT surely any fan would have had similar results? I'm not trying to play down the quality of the fan, but surely if you go from no fans to 3 fans, you'll see a dramatic temp decrease?
 
I was thinking that TheCenturion. I think a better test would be comparing the temps to 3 other fans. I'm interested in changing my fans as they are bloody loud in my new case... Cheap noisey fans *** =/
 
The Apollish CFM goes up to 71.76. But I've just noticed the Enermax UCAPV12A-R Vegas 120mm fans apparently go up to 143.72 CFM :eek:

But the static pressure on both fans is identical at 0.853 to 2.03.

So what would the benefit be of twice the CFM? And which is the better fan of both Enermax's? the Vegas is £4 more at £16.99.

The Apache is only 16db/Enermax Apollish 17db, have used the Apache and its very silent. I would have thought they were on par with each other sound wise, depending on your case, etc.

Enermax UCAPV12A-R Vegas 120mm fans apparently go up to 143.72 CFM, they only quote the minimum db > 16 = 800rpm, not at 2000rpm.
