Enermax Galaxy 1000W EGX1000EWL Beeping on initial boot

Hi there,

I have a new build. (See signature for specs.)

When I power up the system for the first time after having the main AC supply isolated, the PSU beeps like this (with red light flashing when beeping): beep..beep......beep..beep......be- then no beeping and green light.


I have read somewhere that the PSU beeps if there isn't enough power being drawn from it! Is this why it may be beeping? Also if this is the case, why does it only beep on first time plugging in the AC, and not everytime I power up the system?

Take a look at the manual here http://www.enermax.co.uk/uploads/tx_waiproducts/galaxy_manual_eng_dxx_03.pdf , it could be the on initial power up the system loading is less than the PSU minimum load requirements but as all your components take power the requirement is met the beeps stop and the light goes green.
