Gotta feel a bit for Darren Bent, top scorer in the league for a not overly fashionable side, yet he can't get in the England squad. That would be fine if he had Lineker, Shearer, Owen and Rooney ahead of him in the pecking order, but the reality is that players who can't even get in their club team like Heskey and Crouch are getting picked ahead of him.
Not saying I would be starting Bent but I would have thought it would be good to get him involved in the squad and run the rule over him, especially as if he continues scoring goals he surely must be a contender as the season progresses.
